Job Title         :             Sr. level Java/C++ developer

Location        :             Downtown Chicago

Duration       :             12-18 months



*Must-haves*

2-5 years financial industry experience (preferably in trading or clearing)

5 years of programming experience in C++ /Java

Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering or related area

Good written and communication skills

Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.

SDLC knowledge

Experience with relational databases and associated tools ( SQL, JDBC, etc )

Deep understanding of Java, Web Technologies



*Plusses*

Product knowledge in Interest Rate Swaps, FX, Swaptions, or Futures

Masters specifically in Finance

Risk Management background



*Role*

We are looking for a C++/Java developer with a proven track record in the
delivery of technically complex financial applications. The applicant
should be very hands on and be able to independently work on his or her day
to day development activities. Ability to architect and design down to the
component level is a must for this position. Strong quantitative
skills/background are required (preferably experience in building systems
for trading and/or risk management).



-Understand user requirements and document them as per standard

-Participate in design discussions and produce architecture/design artifacts

-Code and test components

-Support QA/Certification and Production environments



Project: These candidates will be working on building the next generation
risk management system application (does everything their 15 current
applications do).
