The Applications Developer performs duties and tasks to support full systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). 2. Performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. 3. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication and to support the achievement of objectives. 4. Develops, maintains, and provides 24x7 support as needed (problem log research, root cause analysis, impact) for applications. 5. Knowledge and proficiency with web browsers, HTML/JavaScript, Java/OO programming, AJAX, MVC, J2EE (servlets, JSP, EJB, JMS, JDBC, ejb, log4j), Application Server/JRE/JDKx.x, IDE and source code, Windows and Linux OS, UNIX command library, databases and SQL, MS Office Suite and Visio. 6. Solid ability to troubleshoot and debug, must be resourceful. 7. A bachelor degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience is required. Management Skills: Requires a minimum of 1 year web development experience utilizing Java/J2EE and 2+ additional years of IT or equivalent development experience. Occasional travel and weekend work required.
