Client focused and results driven, Apps Star partners with organizations to develop technology strategies and solutions that deliver tangible business value * * *Requirement Of the Day From Direct Client* * *JOB Titel : Senior Systems Administrator (Solaris) Location: Chicago, IL Duration : 12+Months Rate: Based on the level of experience * * *Details :* * * · A minimum of 7 to 8 years experience as an administrator in a *UNIX/Sun Solaris environment.* · A minimum of 5 years experience as a UNIX System Administrator in a multi-node environment with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system problems. · *Candidate must be able to work on their own setting up Solaris systems* from the box. including racking, cabling, loading the OS, file system setup, *NIS ** configuration.* · Must have experience in Veritas products to include *Volume Manager and Cluster Server.* Need to not only be able to do day to day support but know how to set a cluster from scratch. · *Expert in Solaris zone setup and day to day support.* · Unix file system and database backup experience. Veritas Netbackup preferred. · *Storage Area Network (SAN) experience is highly preferred.* · Experience supporting a Network Appliance environment is a plus. · Experience supporting a* Sun e25K processing environment is a plus.* · Knowledge of local and wide area networking protocols including TCP/IP. · Knowledge of CA Autosys and ServiceDesk products is a plus. · Excellent oral and written presentation skills, particularly in technical writing to define system requirements and analysis. · Knowledge of financial business environments will increase the incumbent's potential for success. · At minimum, the incumbent must have demonstrated capability to operate in a highly technical environment.
