The candidate must be strong on SharePoint as they are looking for a person to help with their SharePoint website *Project Description SharePoint Intranet* Design a well-organized, easy to navigate intranet site capable of housing an abundance of materials for the employees of medium sized Insurance Brokerage with multiple offices and entities. Organize a huge amount of material/content that employees can easily access Aesthetic/look of the site needs to be appealing; homepage should draw people in o We have a good idea as to what we would like the home page to look like/contain Intuitive navigation Good Search functionality (results are easy to look through and access) Live feed on homepage where announcements/updates can be posted and updated quickly Facebook type functionality that enables interaction of employees o Post questions/comments that others can respond to o If you like/star a conversation, you can receive notification when updates to that conversation are made o Real time communication, but ability to search archive of the content Ability to easily grant employees access so they can change/update specified sections of the site (specifically the Carrier Database which is constantly changing) A functional Carrier Database (currently this proves to be our biggest challenge and a top priority) o Need to create a useful, easy to update database to house the extensive carrier information we have (currently 404 pages of carrier information) Database needs to be easy to search and result in easy to use results Search options should be extensive by class, by coverage, by state Specified employees should have access to update database as needed (which is often) Functionality similar to a site like cars.com (Advanced Search Section) Thumbnail pictures for items such as marketing material and videos in lieu of text links We have an extensive amount of content that we want our staff to have access to, but the organization and access to that information needs to be intuitive/innate. We want this site to be living with up to date content that is useful and relevant.
