*Position : Oracle Application DBA Location : Sunrise, FL Duration : 6+ Months Phone / Skype* *Description* This position will serve as in a Dev/Ops capacity and will have the flexibility to work on both development deployments (55%) and systems engineering (45%). Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle, possess the ability to build and maintain tools, orchestrate and automate different processes vital to the organization and troubleshoot a wide range of issues, related to releases and deployment performance. *Summary of Responsibilities* · Uses Oracle database architecture knowledge to provide database expertise in the design, implementation and integrations of multi-tiered applications residing on relational database management systems (RDBMS). This includes database and table design and creation, stored procedures, triggers and query design and optimization. · Responsible for maintaining a RAC Production database running Oracle Applications and custom Forms application. · Performs disaster recovery configuration, capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning, backup/recovery, problem isolation, root cause analysis and resolution. · Responsible for cloning Oracle Applications environments to support non-Production environments. · Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases and applications to include rollout of patches and upgrades while protecting integrity of the Production environment. · Work with various support teams to ensure database components/systems meets database availability and performance requirements. · Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team or other departments as needed. · Produces and maintains documentation of processes/procedures and standards for effective database administration. · Specify, perform, and manage database user access. · Provide 24x7 support for Production databases. · Responsible for carrying cell phone on a DBA rotation. *Qualifications* · BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems equivalent. · Minimum 4 years of experience administering and maintaining Oracle 10g/11g/12c databases in a Linux operating system environment. · 3 years of experience with open source deployment software and shell scripting. · Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Java, Web Services, Jenkins, Subversion and SQL is required. · Experience with Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 and Oracle tools, such as, Oracle Application Desktop Integrator, Oracle Enterprise Manager and SQL Developer. · Experience with automated test teams to identify logical extension points for automated testing, post-build smoke tests. · Understanding and experience creating an appropriate strategy for managing and publishing build branches/trunks. · Experience with Agile principles. · Experience in the use of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). · Experience in the use of MS Projects a plus. · Analysis and management of incidents using My Oracle Support and Oracle’s knowledge base for logging and management of Oracle Service Requests. · Must be able to efficiently multi-task and possess a practical approach to problem solving. · Excellent technical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
