*Position : Jr. JAVA Developer Location : Chicago, IL Duration : 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Onsite* *Description* The Developer's-(NOC - Network Operations Center) role is to plan, design, develop and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. * As part of this role, the Developer has following responsibilities *• Enhancing and maintaining the existing systems of NOC • As an expert, the Developer will be expected to assist with design as well as development • Development work will involve Java/J2EE/MQ/TIBCO/HTML5/JavaScript development • Development of enhancements, maintenance and support of the NOC related applications. Tasks to be Performed • Leads software development team(s) • Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions • Develop appropriate software documentation as outlined in IDF • Complete comprehensive unit testing on all developed/enhanced software • Works/Consults across multiple projects; functions as a technical leader • Works on complex projects that require subject matter expertise • Ensure IT application development process disciplines (solution delivery, project management, work requests, QA, etc) and standards are in compliance with Enterprise established standards Skillset Details • 4+ years of experience in software development and supporting applications in related roles required - preferably large scale critical applications development • 4+ years of Web Services development experience is a must • Extensive experience in J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, JSP, JDBC, XML, Java Script is required • Extensive experience with Oracle database and writing SQL scripts is a must • Extensive experience in Web service, Weblogic/Websphere application servers is required • Working experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML), Multi-threaded Architecture required • Working experience in in-memory cache/Database preferred • Experience in application development, multiple major project delivering of medium to large scale projects/programs. Must have worked within a multi-disciplined, cross-functional technical organization with matrixes reporting relationship preferred • Experience in EEB/EMS, IBM-MQ is a plus • Development experience using CSS, HTML5, jQuery/Dojo frond-end best practice is a plus • Experience in travel industry, especially airline related is a plus Skill Level Junior Level (less than 5 yrs exp.)
