*Position : Build Release Engineer Location : Seattle , WA Duration : 6+ Months * *Phone and then F2F* *Duties and Responsibilities:* • Design and build configurable and scalable tools to support software development through the entire life cycle, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and configurable and modular process automation. • Adapt existing tools as needed to support geographically distributed teams and meet fast changing needs of our engineering teams. • Collaborate with other technical teams to integrate solutions into our development and release tools. Define, design and implement new tools projects. • Provide strategic direction to increase efficiency of the development organization, adopt industry best practices and leverage agile development methodologies. • Implement and manage an appropriate level of monitoring, alarms and metrics to proactively address potential issues with our systems, tools and deployments. • Monitor open source policy and ensure compliance with applicable licenses; develop processes to ensure ongoing compliance for all open source software and third party code • Participate in on-call rotations to support business-critical applications outside of core hours. • Actively mentor junior developers and train experienced engineers. • Customize, troubleshoot and extend internally developed tools and open source applications – Bugzilla, Testopia, Mediawike, ReviewBoard, OpenGrok • Write high quality, high performing, documented and maintainable code. • Establish process, tools and automation to maintain code base integrity, including check-in validation rules and branching\merging process. • Drive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies.
