************EAD,GC, USC Can Apply ************ *Kindly reply to [email protected]* Title: Datastage Developer Location: Manhattan, NY Duration: 6 month contract to hire (So no H-1 candidates please) ******MUST BE LOCAL FOR A FACE TO FACE***** *Datastage Developer: * Performance tuning Analyze requirements from requesting team, do an impact analysis and develop a plan to implement the code in production Communicate regularly with ETL Lead and other personnel to ensure problems are recognized and addressed before they endanger the success of the project. Support etl jobs in production. Troubleshoot and provide solutions in case of failures. Ensure all deliverables conform to ETL best practices and standards Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle, following stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with Change Control Deliver design, development and validation of the IBM InfoSphere DataStage ETL application to integrate enterprise data with business data warehouse platform. Participate in design and development reviews with business. Work with Business and Technical teams to resolve source/target data issues Follow established development processes in life cycle of ETL with multiple developers. Production support of the overall ETL platforms and Data Warehouse related issues. Support management of ETL job scheduling and ETL Job dependencies, and job restart procedures. Audit final ETL products against the data warehouse platform and the sources *Must Have:* IBM InfoSphere DataStage ETL development and data integration skills Hands-on experience with reading and loading high-volume Type 2 dimensions (SCD) in Multi-Dimensional Datamarts (Star Schema). *Basic Qualifications:* 3-4 years hands on experience in development of ETL programming in a major platform using IBM InfoSphere DataStage 8.x version. Ability to work in a collaborative environment that promotes a team-based service atmosphere. Seek opportunities continuously for improvement and suggest ways in which procedures may be modified to accomplish tasks/goals efficiently and effectively. Effectively communicate technical concepts and work products orally and in writing. Broad knowledge of Business Intelligence Architectures, Methodologies, tools and integration with ETL processes and workflows.
