*Position : Product Catalog Administrator *
*Location: Rochester, NY *
*Duration: 6+ Months Phone then Face to Face *
*Position Summary*
Client provides consumer facing *kiosks and web/mobile-based ordering
applications* to some of the world’s largest retailers. The Product
Catalog Administrator plays a vital role in setting up, organizing and
managing a vast array of products, content, and services on these kiosks
and applications. This has a direct impact on the experience of millions of
customers daily. The *Product Catalog Administrator* will apply their SQL
and technical development skills to define, set up, and organize products
for our catalog services in a fast paced work environment with high
visibility that requires great attention to detail. The individual will
also help identify improvements to our proprietary tools and assist with
the testing/validation of these improvements as necessary.
*Essential Functions& Skills*
*• *Direct SQL Development knowledge and Software Testing
experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
preferred
• Understands relational database architecture& structures
• Strong knowledge of *SQL Server 2008-2012 (can create/modify
queries to SELECT, INSERT INTO, JOIN, UPDATE, DELETE, and all SQL commands)*
• Identify automation opportunities
• Experience with setting up and configuring PCs
• Skilled in developing test plans &test cases from Software
Requirements.
• Able to identify tasks and provide estimates for them
• Reports status to Product Owner as required
• Generates defect reports and metrics for weekly status
reporting.
• Communicates effectively; attention to detail; good
organizational and writing skills; adapts to change easily; able to work in
a fast-paced environment; takes ownership
• Experience using Microsoft Office, defect tracking database,
test tools, configuring computer test systems\hardware\basic networking
Optional Skills, but not required
• Knowledge of Agile Development
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2010- Team Foundation Server
Unique Working Conditions
• Must be able to move equipment, supplies and connect cables.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Possibility of travel
• Chemical Handling: The position may require incumbent to
handle chemicals/solutions such as waste from mini-lab printers that
include bleach and silver.
