*Position : QA Automation Tester* *Location: Rochester, NY* *Duration: 6+ Months Phone then Face to Face Rate : $45/hr on c2c* *Position Summary* This position requires the individual to have knowledge of *developing automation scripts* for the purpose of software validation. Preferred individuals should have a working knowledge of software automation tools and coding. The position will require interaction with the software development and QA team members for the purpose of understanding the software coding and required test cases, to help create automation scripts that can be executed by other team members. Efforts may require the individual to perform manual test case execution for the purpose of understanding how to automate the test cases. * Essential Functions& Skills* *•* 2 or more years of *automation development with 1 to 2 years of testing experience desired* • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent testing experience. • Skilled understanding of testing techniques that include, Functional, System, Performance, and Acceptance testing. • Technical Programming Skill in developing automation scripts using tools such as TestComplete, WinRunner, or similar automation tools. • Skilled in identifying test cases from Software Requirements. • Understanding of *Java, Objective-C, C#, C++, and .NET* • Understanding of rapid application development, object-oriented concepts, design and development. • *Agile\SCRUM Methodologies* • Knowledge of commonly used architectural patterns • Individual reports directly to QA Manager from a functional management perspective. • Communicates effectively; attention to detail; good organizational and writing skills; adapts to change easily; able to work in a face-paced environment; takes ownership • Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visual Studio 2012, configuring computer test systems\hardware. Optional Skills, but not required • Testing of Mobile Applications on various s mobile devices • Knowledge of iOS and Android operating systems Unique Working Conditions • Must be able to move equipment, supplies and connect cables. • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
