*Position : ETL Developer* *Location : St Louis, MO * *Duration : 12+ Months Phone then Face to Face * *PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* The ideal candidate for this role would have deep experience in JD Edwards, particularly with reporting and understanding the JDE data model in depth. This person would also have experience in using ETL tools, preferably Informatica. *The duties of this role are:* - Analyze, interpret and transform data from JDE into a data model optimized for business intelligence reporting. - Understand the data models that support the Finance (G/L, A/P, A/R), Inventory, Procurement and Sale Order Management modules. - Contribute to the overall planning of projects and issue resolution by recommending approaches, identifying resources, and developing timelines - Follow documented procedures for configuring, maintaining, upgrading, testing, and coding the application/custom interface routines - On-time delivery of quality software solutions in accordance with project plans and service request promise dates - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile model where are results focused. - Effective communication of project plans, priorities and requirements to all business partners. - Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures. - Work with our business partners to understand their business processes and understand the impact on the data. - Build data models to support reporting using data from JDE and work with other team members to normalize data from other ERP's into a unified data model. - Define specifications for offshore resources to develop ETL maps. - Test output of the ETL maps and be able to reconcile them for accuracy as well as explain results to the business partners. *KEY RESULT AREAS:* - Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development resources. - Give guidance on good coding standards for ETL development. - Provide reconciliations to business users to prove accuracy of the data. - Provide technical development and analytical support for Informatica ETL (cloud and power center) applications that are implemented across multiple divisions - Assist in providing technical direction for future projects - Team Education and hosting partner cross training on ETL development as required - Assist the business team with BI reporting in conjunction with ETL workload - Ensure standard documentation requirements are met *EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:* - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field/equivalent experience - 5+ years of development experience with 5-7 years of that experience in designing, developing and supporting technical solutions for Informatica ETL Applications or equivalent Data Warehouse ETL applications. - Must be proficient with the Data Stage and Informatica Power Center, as well as SQL, Unix, and Process Scheduler - Must have at least 3 years of experience with BI reporting tools - Must have worked in environments using SDLC methodologies and standards.
