*Position : OAT Testing Manager Location: San Ramon, CA * *Duration : 3+ Months Phone / Skype Hire !!! Remote with a couple weeks onsite * * Description* Customer is doing a major SAP release that is mission critical and needs a resource to develop and lead Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT). OAT is generally considered part of ITIL v3 Service Validation and Testing or an adjunct to SDLC release management as a released system moves from development to production application support. Generally, OAT is considered as non-functional testing with focus on these elements: - Requirements for operations – maintainability, supportability, installation and backup/recovery, monitoring and management - Process conformance. - OAT ignores functional testing that occurs at other points within the SDLC test plan. *Some complexity and scale is key to correct project fit.* - This project is a very large system implementation that is replace around 1,400 business systems, including business critical systems - This is a large global project for a large global firm with the operational complexity inherent with multi-vendor operations and global support - Pace is fast and this work targets are aggressive. *Client needs an OAT Test leader who is responsible for:* - Full lifecycle of OAT – creation of testing plan, schedule and methods, through execution of OAT - Identify and create use cases and related test cases to ensure operational readiness - Gather and discovery information for use cases and test cases and the validation thereof - Collaborate and lead in a complex global enterprise to accomplish OAT process goals - Facilitate and manage group meetings - Execute tests per plan including table-top model office exercises, test cases, scenarios, stories and test result documentation - Perform gap analysis and remediation for failed test results - Expected time of execution (full time assignment) is from now until the end of Q115. *About You* - Proven experience in OAT testing in large global enterprise environment - SDLC Testing experience, demonstrated experience in service validation and testing in an ITIL framework - Extremely detailed oriented and expert in testing documentation management - Self-reliant with good business acumen - Ability to work across operational groups in diverse regions and communicate effectively across time zones and cultures/languages (English is business language but levels of stakeholder fluency will vary.) - Ability to travel internationally to India for L2 and L3 support testing - Practical experience is preferred over certifications but ITIL v3 Release, Control, and Validation and related SDLC experience and testing certifications are valued.
