*H1s are accepted* *Project Title*: Quality Assurance for Infrastructure Adjustments Location: Minneapolis, *MN* Total Estimated Hours: 900 Estimated Start Date: 12/15/14 Estimated End Date: 8/31/15 Degree of Urgency: Submissions Due by: 12/12/14 Description of Work to Be Performed and the Specific Skill Sets Needed: The scope of the test effort for the HJIP QA team includes but is not limited to the validation of messages to and from the different agencies and applications through the MQ message broker, the integration to various databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2), and agency application testing. HJIP interacts with all agencies (District Court, Sheriff/Jail, County Attorney, Public Defender, City Attorney, Dept of Corrections, Minneapolis Police Dept, Suburban Prosecutors) within Hennepin County to assure changes made in one system will not adversely affect any other agency. As a result, multiple projects are in the works at one time. Test plans are created from Business Requirements Documents, Logical and Physical designs, and agency documentation. From this, test cases are written and entered into Rational Test Manager. We require an IT Quality Assurance person with these skills: · *Five or more years of quality assurance experience* · *Three or more years automation experience, Parasoft and Rational Tools are preferred.* · Knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle including design, development, testing, implementation and support. · Proficiency in writing test plans, creating test cases, test data, and user documentation. · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and contribute in a team environment. · Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and XML. · Effective analytical, organizational and time management skills. · Excellent written and verbal communications skills. List of Deliverables, e.g. what the consultant(s) will be expected to accomplish: · Ensure test cases developed are clear, repeatable and traceable to the requirements. · Work with agency business and IT users to better understand their area and how they integrate and depend on other agencies. · Execute manual testing of client/server and web applications. · Develop automated test scripts to validate system functionality. · Design and facilitate the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as well as create user documentation. · Define test environment needs. · Authorize the movement of project software between environments, ensuring compliance with all quality processes and standards; i.e. entry and exit criteria defined and followed. · Utilize defect-tracking tool to ensure compliance with the defect-reporting process. · Work with developers to resolve issues. · Provide weekly status updates to Project Manager with estimated time to complete for remaining work. *Impact/Outcome from a Business Perspective: *Critical team member needed for point expertise for a limited amount of time.
