Please find the job details below and forward me your updated resume along with your contact details. *Position : .Net Developer* *Location : Columbia, SC * *Duration : 6-12 Months Interview: Phone then Skype* * Note :: Those with P&C (Property and Casualty) Insurance experience will be stacked on top! * *Job Responsibilities : * • Performs full life cycle software development, including requirement definition, prototyping, design, development, testing and enhancements utilizing Microsoft ASP.NET and Windows Forms applications using either C# or VB.Net for complex projects. • Develops software applications in accordance with agreed upon schedules and established best practices. • Designs software or customizes software for customers with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. • Works with the business analysts, customers and team members to obtain and define user information needs, performance requirements, project limitations and capabilities and interfaces. Makes recommendations for design of system enhancements or replacement solutions. • Designs, develops, and modifies complex software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of designs. Uses standard concepts, best practices and procedures within a particular field to develop and implement complex computer programs. • Develops and directs software systems testing and validation procedures to complete unit, integration and model office testing. Performs unit testing of all system modifications to ensure accuracy. • Provides status reports to Manager regarding complex development projects. Communicates design and development issues and problem resolution through voice mail, e-mail, collaboration software, or in person as appropriate. • Prepares and maintains technical documentation recording all changes made as they move through the change management process. Communicates design and development issues and problem resolution through voice mail, e-mail, collaboration software, or in person as appropriate. *Required Skills / Experience: * • 2-Year Technical or 4-Year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT focused discipline. • Eight or more years experience in software application development. • Four or more years experience in using Microsoft .NET technologies. • In depth knowledge of C# and/or VB.NET, ASP.NET, Windows Forms. • Understanding of HTML and related technologies including CSS and JavaScript. • Experience writing SQL stored procedures for Microsoft SQL Server or IBM DB2. • Understanding of database design and optimization concepts such as normalization, indexing, and transactions. • Object oriented development techniques. • AS400 experience a plus. • Insurance experience a plus.
