Seeking an Application Technical Lead to support production support,
maintenance enhancements, and technology currency related initiatives for
our
Finance Portfolio which is primarily PeopleSoft. The candidate will have
accountability for the quality of the development and technical delivery of
a given
initiative. The candidate should have an understanding of major systems
and sub-systems, an understanding of the technology, tools and designs that
support the Finance application portfolio.
Responsibilities & Capabilities Include:
Strong understanding of PeopleSoft, including financial applications
Strong understanding of the Informatica supporting the financial ODS
platform
Strong knowledge of Unix, Autosys and batch scheduling
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a highly matrixed
environment
Collaborate with subject matter experts, various stakeholders and
fellow developers to design, develop, implement and support complex
business solutions.
Accountable to provide the technical leadership necessary to safeguard
the integrity of the applications and application environments within their
purview.
Perform Design Reviews to ensure the integrity and quality of the
production end product. Ensures designs meet immediate and long term
financial objectives.
Oversee technical deliverables for maintenance projects through the
software development life cycle, including validating the completeness of
estimates, quality and accuracy of technical designs, build, and
implementation.
Provide leadership and support when required on critical production
issues ensuring proper communication with infrastructure and application
technical support teams.
Lead positive and effective change by influencing and educating
Business, IT and Sourcing partners
Facilitate continuity between Sourcing Partners, other IT Groups and
Enterprise Architecture.
Act as liaison between architecture and application development teams.
Infrastructure experience is desired
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of PeopleSoft technical experience
Must have solid experience with PeopleSoft Financial applications
Must have a good financial background
Must have Unix, Informative, Autosys, batch scheduling
Infrastructure experience
Leading others through matrix organizations
Architecture design experience a plus
In-depth experience and understanding of multiple programming
languages, systems, analysis and design, integration, and software
development methodologies.
Requires close interaction and collaboration with Application Owners,
Project Managers, vendor partners (both onsite and offshore), Lead Business
Analysts, application and enterprise architects, other application
technical leads, and other application development teams.
