Please go through the following requirement and send me resumes of your available consultants on [email protected] Title : Database Performance Analyst/ SQL Tuner Location : Sunnyvale, CA, United States Duration : 12 Months Experience and Skills * Overall 6-10 years of experience with minimum 3+ years in performance testing/ SQL tunning * Proven expertise in optimization of Oracle SQL Queries * Understanding of Oracle execution plans * Understanding of Oracle Memory usage * Understanding of Oracle index/table relationship * Understanding of Oracle KPI's i.e. buffer gets * Thorough knowledge of Oracle Cost Based Optimizer and clear understanding of Oracle architecture * 5+ years as a DB Performance Analyst and/or SQL Tuner * Proven expertise in tuning Oracle 11g for high transaction, multi-TB sized Databases * A Team player to work with cross-functional teams with varying skill-sets and in different time-zones * Knowledge of SAP is a big plus * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Job Responsibilities * Periodically Monitor Production databases from performance perspective * Carry out analysis of performance issues and proactively identify expensive SQLs and other performance bottlenecks * Work with the ABAP, BASIS and Support teams to explain/resolve critical production performance issues * Carry out root cause analysis of Database/SQL performance problems and recommend a solution for Production as well as Test environments * Communicate solution to the application developers and verify that it is implemented correctly * Provide support in offshore hours for training team members * Participate in software design reviews with developers to ensure that the architecture is scalable to meet long-term performance goal * Keep abreast of new, performance related Oracle features and evangelize their use across IT teams * Experience in analyzing AWR reports to determine if there are performance issues * Develop SQL Performance Coding standards and conduct training for team members Thanks and Regards, Harry Charles, NPD GLOBAL INC...
