*Job Title* Sr. Data Architect *Project Location* Denver CO *Duration* 4 months /Contract * Skills Required and Job Description:* Detailed Description: The Data Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining a formal description of the data and data structures. This includes metadata management, master data management, business semantics, data modeling, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, etc. This metadata repository will need to be exposed in various formats i.e. JSON or Avro schemas to be leveraged by various internal systems and teams. In addition to the logical responsibilities, a firm understanding of the underlying physical technologies is required. This includes technologies such as JSON, Avro, Cassandra, Hbase, Hadoop, MongoDB, NoSQL DBs, Graph DBs (Titan, Neo4J), S3, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, etc. Given a set of use cases, a successful candidate will be able to create a logical model and then develop a set of JSON and/or xAPI (TinCan) messages that capture source system elements defined by the logical model in a format that facilitates downstream processing of the data. Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Understand the business process; facilitate the discovery of entities, attributes, relationships, and business rules from the functional experts and the user community. - Drive requirements gathering as it relates to data. - Understand product management requirements and turn those into designs for engineering team. - Develop abstract structures that are optimized for reuse across various consumers and platforms. - Design constructs and models that adhere to data governance and privacy rules. - Visualize, articulate, and design ‘end to end’ data flows from data ingestion through to the end user experience. - Prepare process models to document data and information flows for sourcing and accessing data. - Create data modeling artifacts and resources for the engineering team and others including data diagrams, data dictionaries, schema documentation, process models, usage examples, data flows, etc. that enable self-service by the various the partner teams. - Articulate data model designs with real world use cases via both diagrams and verbal analogies. - Define flexible solutions that will meet current and anticipate future needs with minimal impact. - Create JSON and xAPI (TinCan) schemas. - Develop and enforce data modeling standards and best practices. - Will work closely with lead architect(s) to ensure the logical and physical models stay in sync. - Participate in design sessions with Agile project teams. - Define REST API endpoints. - Become the subject matter expert in the JSON and TinCan message formats used to develop analytics -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Developers" group.
