*Location::: PA-Pennsylvania/Allentown Duration::: 12+ monthsJob Description::* *Oracle DBA* *Duties, Activities, Responsibilities and Competencies*: -This 12 month project is providing Oracle database support for the migration of database infrastructure to the AWS cloud for a hosting customer. -The primary database platform to be migrated includes a combination of Oracle 11g and Oracle 10g databases currently running on Linux. -This project is strictly to migrate this set of databases to AWS cloud using known industry practices and experience through the use of an already selected toolset. -Other job responsibilities will include direct support of the same hosting customer during a transition period which may include database creation, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting and performance management and tuning where necessary. -Previous experience performing large and complex database migrations across different platforms including migration to AWS (or other) cloud is preferred. -The successful candidate will be a motivated team player who is a self-starter and who can bring third level technical experience into the team. *Required Qualifications:* -9+ years of hands-on technical experience in an large enterprise database environment (200+ Oracle databases) -Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to think strategically -Strong written and verbal communications as well as interpersonal skills. -On-call support 24x7 as required including a large amount of weekend work to support data center migrations *Technical Qualifications:* -Experience with Oracle database technologies (12c, 11g and 10g), including Oracle Enterprise Manager (Grid Control), ASM, Oracle Data Guard, RAC and Streams along with other advanced configurations. -Experience using Attunity CloudBeam to migrate databases to AWS cloud -Linux and Unix server operating system skills -Ability to write shell and SQL scripts to automate tasks where necessary -Proven troubleshooting skills and a passion for finding the root cause of both performance and other operational issues
