*Title: Technical Project Manager* *Location: Boston, MA* *Type: Contract* *Description* The Technical Project Manager directs, manages, plans and administers the operational and administrative activities of a cross-functional team assigned to a project. They will be familiar with Information Security and Infrastructure projects. The PM will have had prior experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity project management.
* Key Accountabilities:* •Maintains project/ program work plans and drafts required deliverables. Reports on project/ program status to senior management. •Exhibits advanced proficiency in the client’s project management methodology, tools and practices. •Demonstrates proficiency in creating detailed documentation for complex projects. •Manages business risk both fiscal and operational. Manages the project/ program risk. •Oversees and/or negotiates with business partner and external vendors contractual agreements and has an understanding of the legal implications of the effort. •Leads from both a business and IT perspective, demonstrating results as a leader and change agent. •Manages the project/ program expenditures (capital budget). •Leverage productivity of a matrixed managed team that has on shore, remote or off shore members. •Ensures all projects support the overall program objectives. •Oversees project dependencies. Manages the project’s integration. Required Skills: •Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience. •5+ years of solid experience as a Project Manager in Technical Project Management, working within a formal PMO and with increasing responsibilities. •Must have experience with Disaster Recovery project management; Business Continuity project management experience is a plus. •Experience with Technology Infrastructure. •Resource management experience in a matrixed environment with accountability delivering results. •Experience building project plans, prepared status reporting and executive summary status reports, building work break-down structures, etc. •Strong leadership capabilities, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with clients and management and staff at all levels. •Ability to interact with and influence clients, team members, management and external groups. Ability to interact with senior management. •Extensive project management experience; extensive knowledge of project management life cycle, PM tools, techniques and best practices. •Ability to organize projects, execute and keep them moving forward. •Must have experience with MS Project. •Projects will be technical in nature and may deal with: IT Infrastructure, Security/ Data Loss Prevention, Telephony (hardware, end of life), MDM - Tibco, Cloud application - SiteMinder.
