*Job Description:*
*Project: portfolio manager application.*
This was originally a thick client desktop application used by the
portfolio managers to see how much is in their portfolio compared to some
of the benchmarks they are measured against.
The application also has certain tools used internally for stock screenings
(you can use the app to perform economic research, view data from
quantitative analysis, all gathered internally at fidelity).
Olver the past year, they have developed a smaller version of this
application for the ipad and iphone so that when people are on the road
they can have access to this data without having to log into their desktop.
They are constantly adding new functionality to improve the overall
performance of the application so more sr. people internally can view how
funds are performing.
Working with a third party company to do the visualization but they need
someone to provide the ios development expertise.
*Job description:*
*Must haves:*
•Enterprise ios development – must have worked on developing ios
applications for large enterprise environments as there are certain
risks/security limitations that come with creating an app like this at a
company who deal with lots of sensitive data on a day-to-day basis.
•Prior financial/financial services experience - someone out of a state
street or wellington would be ideal but someone who understands what a
mutual fund is or who works at a bank.
•Ability to fit into a small team, driven, can handle pressure to delivery
environments.
•Prior experience working in an agile environment
*Day to day:*
•100% of their day will be spent doing development.
this person will come in and be hands on from day one, getting into the
application and coding, leading and making suggestions, interacting and
helping out the design folks.
