*JOB SUMMARY *
This person will be responsible for designing, implementing and
administering Cognos securities and business intelligence portals including
design, development and deployment of multi-dimensional reports using the
Cognos Business Intelligence solution; Building and optimizing data models
and packages using Framework Manager; Assist in BI Strategy/Planning, User
Training, Production support for Cognos issues.
· · Interface with the business analyst to define the business and
technical requirements
· · Make recommendations on changes required to implement clinical
reporting systems
· · Assist in translating business requirements into conceptual,
logical and Reporting model
· · Engage with business partners to understand functional
requirements to design best possible global solutions
· · Analyze business and data requirements and help define the best
solution.
· · Familiarity with drafting a BRD
· · Create and maintain document to support developed applications.
· · Create Cognos Cubes, Packages, reports, dynamic dashboards as per
the requirements.
· · Assist the business in assessing the data requirements of the
solution
· · Document the functional specifications of the solutions
· · Proven team player
· · Good understanding of Cognos Design and Architecture, Security, FM
Model, Package and Report Level. Build complex Framework Manager Packages.
· · Strong data warehouse concepts
· · Design, develop and deliver Cognos reports, dashboards and
Modeling

*QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE *
· · 10+ IT experience (preferably healthcare)
· · Cognos Architecture and Design, Implementation of security at FM
Model, Package and Report Level
· · Full domain knowledge of Cognos suite of tools. Including SDK &
Java-scripting.
· · 8+ yrs. IBM Cognos experience & 5+ Years of Oracle as Backend
· · 1+ yrs. Business Objects.
· · A Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
Mathematics or equivalent is required.
