We are looking for a Software QA Tester to lead, develop, and innovate the test estimation and test planning effort needed to deliver great new features to our customers. MUST LOVE TECHNOLOGY!! Please note that this is a contractor position, which requires at least 3 years of exposure to Java, including direct Java programming experience, because you will be looking at current Java code and suggesting code changes to the software engineers, so you will not only be testing the software, but you will also be the first step in identifying the solution. This position also requires you to be able to test all angles of the software to find bugs, create tickets that clearly identify the bug (specifically describing how to recreate the bug) and document the suggested solution approach for the software engineers within a ticketing system. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree is required with emphasis in engineering, science, or math. • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; problem-solving and analytical abilities with good planning, organizational, and follow-up skills. • Expertise with testing methodologies, test plan/test case development • 5 or more years of practical experience in testing commercial software in organizations that have strong test processes including test estimation. • Working knowledge of Test/Debugging tools • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills • Able to work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. • Able to multitask within an environment of rapidly changing priorities. • Automation experience is a big plus Responsibilities: • Perform QA for projects with a focus on the Java code • Develop test plans and test cases to validate requirements and specifications • Identify, analyze, and communicate any defects discovered during testing, meticulously documenting defects and ways of recreating defect in ticketing system • Look at current code and create new Java code to try and suggest how software engineers can approach fixing bugs. • Develop automation plans to implement automated regression suites to improve test coverage • Prepare comprehensive test reports for release management • Research and recommend best practices and test tools *Regards,* *Sourabh Kumar* *Account Manager* *RG Talent Inc.* 39120, Argonaut Way, Suite #157, Fremont, CA 94538 Phone: 510-443-0757 x 115 <510-443-0757%20x%20115> Fax: 510-952-4633 Email: sour...@rgtalent.com <http://sour...@rgtalent.com%20> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Developers" group.
