It is a very unique and challenging role and provides immense opportunity to design wide-reaching tools. It combines the "building" aspect of software design engineering with the "breaking" aspect of software test engineering. Our client’s test organizations have developed various test methodologies and tools. Procedures include functional testing, negative testing, customer scenario testing, stress testing, performance testing, scalability testing, international testing, and more. All are conducted to make sure that the customer gets the best quality product. - Our client is looking for a highly motivated, result-oriented SDET with a strong background in Quality Assurance to join its team of highly skilled embedded software engineers. *In this role you will*: - Be responsible for overseeing quality engineering of customer-facing distributed platforms and applications in a fast paced dynamic environment. - Increase our high-quality bar ridiculously high, and to help us identify and execute ways to raise it even higher. - Play a key function in delivering highly critical technology in addition to supporting the development of internal test automation & test data creation tools. - Utilize innovative test technologies to develop a product's testing strategy. - Test and critique embedded software to ensure quality and identify potential improvement opportunities and projects. - Develop and scale automation framework. Utilizes OOP principles to ensure automation framework and tests are easily extendable by peers. - Build QA Automation tools and platforms with the goal of 100% automation and reduction of regression test cycles. - Build Functional testing tools and enhance existing automation platforms. - Provide functional and integration quality-assurance testing for features delivered on Web, Linux, and other operating systems. - Work closely with cross-functional organizations, project teams, partners and clients to develop project schedules, execute test plans and cases, and deliver high quality products. - Act as a strong, proactive customer advocate for quality in the product development process for software engineering. - Contribute and deliver initiatives to improve the overall QA process, such as identifying gaps or inefficiencies in workflows and suggesting improvements. - Provide project managers with timely and accurate QA status and progress during all project testing phases, including summarizing QA results at project conclusion. - Be able to work with flexibility and open attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
