*Job Description:* *Responsibilities will include:* • Architect solutions for scalable micro-services • Iterate from whiteboard to production, retaining control and cognizance of project vision, performance expectations, deadline, and integration endpoints. • Hands-on development of reusable templates, modules and other web components and applications • Collaborating with teams across the organization to provide best possible solutions. • Provide mentorship and guidance. • Manage relevant team code and issues around release building. • Well executed crisis resolution. • Partner with product owners to achieve high velocity development while managing stakeholder and partner expectations. • Defining, developing, and evangelizing standards and best practices. • Mediate and resolve issues. Work inside and beyond your team to unblock across all teams. Desired Skills and Experience *The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:* • Exceptional with at least one backend technology: PHP, Python, or GO. • Experience with Python/Django and/or Golang/Concurrent programming, and Node.js. • Working knowledge of Memcache, Redis, and Varnish • Expertise in CSS/SASS with adaptive and responsive implementations. • Experience with client side web programming using JavaScript frameworks and libraries including Require.JS, Backbone.JS (Marionette a plus), jQuery, and Underscore.js • Experience with Grunt, Bower, and similar package management tools. • Experience with frontend unit testing via Mocha, Chai, or Jasmine and Karma. • Expertise in Git, Gitflow experience a plus • Demonstrated proficiency with relational and NoSQL data stores (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc) • Experience working within AWS, specifically EC2, RDS, SQS, SNS, S3, and ElasticCache. • Working knowledge of operations, command-line tools, diagnostics and debuggers. • Experience leading development teams using Agile methodologies. • Experience with Ad and Reporting library integration a plus. • Familiarity with vagrant, docker, and/or deis. • Familiarity with continuous integration. Specifically, Travis CI and/or Jenkins. • Familiarity with different design patterns. • Experience building and consuming RESTful services. • A service-oriented approach to application development. • Knowledge of unit, functional, and load testing software and best practices. • Adaptability and the ability to evaluate the right tools for the job. • A desire to learn and a desire to share your knowledge. • A meticulous and passionate approach to performance optimization and debugging.
