As part of the Ops team, ProdOps Engineers work with the Development Team and the Dev Ops group to provide high availability services to our clients. Part of running client platform includes on-call duties as well as off-time upgrades and maintenance. The Technical Operations Engineer also works closely with the Technical Support Analysts as both a mentor and escalation point for critical system and operational issues. What you’ll be doing: 1. Supporting & optimizing local and cloud infrastructure 2. Monitoring and fine tuning application & database performance 3. Developing automation scripts for platform maintenance and software deployments 4. Providing an escalation path for Technical Support Analysts to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues 5. Building and deploying monitoring tools to ensure SLA compliance 6. Mentoring Technical Support Analysts and other members of the team What we’ll expect from you: *1. At least 5 years experience developing in the Microsoft .NET software stack* *2. A thorough understanding of SDLC best practices* *3. Strong knowledge of SQL* *4. Virtualization experience, preferably with VMWare* 5. Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues or requirements to non-technical team members and customers 6. A strong desire to constantly improve software and platform architectures, system performance, processes & procedures 7*.
