*Job Description:* Person will be part of a project team supporting the SALUTE project. *What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)*- Build and configure Oracle databases - Build and configure Oracle DataGuard standby databases - Build and configure MySQL databases - Migrate data between databases - Assist with performance tuning - Communicate status with project management *What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?*- Oracle Database - MySQL Database - Oracle DataPump - Oracle DataGuard - Unix shell - TSM or Data Domain *What skills/attributes are a must have?*- Candidate must be NAC'd - At least 4 years experience working with Oracle databases. - At least 1 year working with MySQL databases - Experience with Oracle DBMS and DB monitoring and tuning. - Experience with RAC - Proven SQL tuning experience. - Knowledge of the UNIX Server platform. - Four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. - Effective verbal and documentation skills in both business and technical areas. - Strong organizational skills - Ability to handle changing priorities and tight schedules *What skills/attributes are nice to have?*- Experience with a systems development or project methodology. - Experience working with remote teams.
