*Job Description:*

We are redesigning and relaunching the iOS and Android native apps for
FedEx (public).
It's a multi year road map of features.
We work with a cross functional team in an agile approach.
We have an agency that leads the iOS design, the contractor needs to lead
the Android design keeping the experiences cohesive and leveraging Google
Material (must have good knowledge and experience with it).
As far as UI vs UX the role is both.
UI in the sense that person will be responsible for creating the look and
feel of the Android design (leveraging iOS designs) but then also my team
conducts usability testing and so in my mind there is also an element of UX
where this person needs to solve for issues that surface in customer
testing and make those recommended experience design changes for both iOS
and Android comps before turning over to IT.

Please look for someone with a Graphic Design degree or history (This will
separate people who are actually designers from people who are developers.
This is not mandatory but will help us find the right candidate.
This person has to have experience with MOBILE NATIVE. This is an app.
They need to have experience in
Mobile
designer and not just in web design. Please keep looking for this.

I want to be clear that I don't want a developer, I'm looking for a
designer, 2-5 years experience.
They HAVE to have IOS and Android design.

- 3+ years of professional UX Design or Interaction Design experience
- BA or MS in design-related field preferred
- Portfolio that illustrates knowledge of standard user experience design
principles and techniques
- Proficiency in user flows, wireframing and interactive prototyping for
mobile (iOS, Android, Windows Phone)
- Solid understanding of iOS and Android mobile design standards and
patterns
- Front-end development knowledge (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
- Experience working and designing in an agile environment alongside
multidisciplined team of developers, UX, and Project Managers
- Strong problem-solving skills to address design gaps and edge cases while
minimizing UI complexity
- Ability to cohesively extend upon an established design and app framework
- Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate design intent
- Ability to take ongoing direction and critique
- Self-starter who is user-focused, detail and solutions oriented
