*Summary:*
*Looking for an Enterprise BI Administrator to support:*
• 40% Microstrategy
• 40% Microsoft BI
• 20% Business Objects.
Responsible for the Business Intelligence Administration of Microsoft
BI/Sharepoint 2013, Business Objects and Microstrategy including security,
upgrades, installation and configuration.
This also includes understanding of SOA (Service Oriented architecture) and
how it can be applied to BI.
*Main Responsibilities:*
• Provide Business Intelligence Administration Support in the
following areas:
• Assist IT Developers and business areas in the use of effective
use of reporting tools with primary focus on Microsoft BI/Sharepoint 2013
and PowerBI, Microstrategy and Business Objects XI 3.1
• Provide direction on effective use of the BI toolsets which
includes report writing, report standards, as well as troubleshooting
problems with internal customers.
• Provide consulting and basic training to business areas on BI
toolsets (Microsoft BI/PowerBI/Microstrategy and Business Objects)
• Administer security settings within the various BI toolsets to
integrate with various portal technologies such as Salesforce and/or other
portal technologies and collaborate with the IT security team to come up
with strategies that follow best practices.
• Knowledge of architecture, hardware and spec’ing out BI platforms
for future use
• Troubleshoot cases on behalf of customers with various vendors.
• Liaising with vendors for upgrades and licensing and keep track of
maintenance renewals
• Attend conferences on BI toolsets, upgrades, changes, as deemed
relevant
• Understanding of cloud BI uses and pro’s and con’s of each in a BI
strategy
*Basic Qualifications:*
• 2+ years experience with Microstrategy Administration.
• 1+ years experience with Microsoft BI 2013/PowerBI (cloud)
• 2+ years experience in Business Objects XI 3.1 Administration.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
• BA or BS Degree in Computer Science/MIS/IS.
• 2+ years experience in SAP Basis Administration.
• 2+ years experience in Tomcat/IIS in conjunction with BI Toolsets.
• Knowledge of SAP BW/Hana in relationship to Business Intelligence
toolsets used.
• Knowledge of IIS/Tomcat web/application servers.
• Knowledge of Hardware architecture/software architecture.
• Knowledge of various security protocol standards.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Installation and configuration knowledge of at least 1 of the
above mentioned toolsets.
