Major Purpose of Job:
• Implement various solutions arising out of the large data
processing over various NoSQL, Hadoop, and MPP-based products
• Active participation in the various Architecture and design
calls with Big Data customers
• Work with Sr. Architects and providing implementation details
to offshore
Essential Job Functions:
• Hands on lead development role focused on creating big data
and analytics solutions for Digital channel
• Coding of mission critical components
• Analyse business and functional requirements and contribute
to IT solution
• Participate in design reviews; provide input to the design
recommendations
• Participate in project planning sessions with project
managers, business analysts and team members
Requirements: Skill Requirements
• Hadoop Development and Administrative experience
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies in
Big Data/Cloudera Hadoop experience
• Technical and functional knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem
• Design and develop HDFS-based solutions in Hive
• Programming using Hive QL to generate reports
• Writing Scoop Jobs to Import/Export data from Hadoop
• Programming using Shell script/Python to create automation
scripts
• Must have backend experience and be able to use MapReduce,
Spark. Hive, HBASE. Experience with Eclipse, XML, JSON
• Programming using SQL and SQL/RDBMS utilities
• Work closely with Managers and Reporting Team to
understanding the functional and system requirements
• SQL Knowledge (Impala/Hive QL/Teradata)
• Ability to effectively manage in a cross-matrix environment
with Global resources
• Experience in fast paced and constantly evolving environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication techniques –
written and verbal.
• Excellent problem solving skills
