BASIC FUNCTION-*The Web Developer position will be responsible for maintaining legacy code in ColdFusion and developing new code in ASP.NET MVC using C#. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ColdFusion and experience in ASP.NET with a desire to migrate to 100% ASP.NET in the future. -The Web Developer position will be responsible for the development of web applications, mobile web based applications, interoperability of existing and new association digital infrastructure, and other digital products. -The ideal candidate will have experience in an environment with diverse challenges and constant change. Analytical capabilities and experience in clean efficient code development are a must, with a drive to find the best solution to challenges. -A developer who writes understandable code that is standards based, conforms to a coding style guide, and is well commented is a must. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, and the desire to discover internal clients core requirements and work with a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver high quality products. *II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES*1. Maintain & troubleshoot existing codebase written in ColdFusion and ASP.NET C# by acting as a consultant to business units, including technical guidance, planning, and application development services, along with implementation support 2. Write ASP.NET MVC API’s and connections between commercial and legacy applications. 3. Write business requirements from customer discovery meetings 4. Write solutions and update existing code that is well protected from security vulnerabilities. 5. Designing application architectures that are of high quality and adhere to industry best practices 6. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and customizing e-commerce applications interfacing with Personify using ColdFusion and migrating those applications to commercial or custom ASP.NET applications. 7. Develop web applications that meet the documented business requirements 8. Deploy solutions with written implementation, test, and back out plans according to the change control process 9. Prepare and maintain all application documentation once programs are in production 10. Participate in the change management, problem management, project management processes, and other IT related processes 11. Research and evaluating emerging technologies relative to your role *III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*• Troubleshoot and maintain existing ColdFusion Applications • Build web functionality that is data driven • Write code to interact with a range of installed application API’s • Write code to digest Web Services • Write code to read and write to SQL and other databases • Support UI development working with front end developers • Understanding of SQL and general data driven development • Develop web applications integrating JavaScript/XHTML/CSS • Building for enterprise ASP.NET based applications. *IV.
