Ok, the only part of xpdf-utils I have used is pdftotext. When you have one of those pesky .pdf documents, do this:
pdftotext document-name where document-name is the name of the file. When the program is finished with the pdf, you will have an easily readable text file. Hope this helps. -- Doug Smith: C.S.F.C.
