If you want your USB drives to be seen, they have already been
recognized by the system. All you have to do is to mount them onto
the file system.

The first time, you will need to do this as root, but you can change
the permissions on the file systems on the drives so that you can
mount them as your regular, non-priviliged user. Do this:

For the first time, su to root then do:

mount /dev/first-drive-name where this is the name of the first drive
and/or partition such as sda1

after you have done this, mount the second one with:

mount /dev/second-drive-name

and you should be ready to go.

As far as the cd-rom on the machine, you will be using it if you are
running Oralux from the cd it comes on. If this is the case, the
pseudo-directory /cdrom will hold the contents of the cd of Oralux.
If you have the system installed on a hard drive, you will need to be
sure there is a disk with something on it in the cd-rom drive. If
this is the case, it should be mounted either in the directory:
/mnt/cdrom or /mnt/auto/cdrom you might have to check both places.

Hope this helps.
