I have used mplayer with near perfect results. The only thing I
currently cannot get working is the compilation of mplayer with the
live.com streaming media libraries. These accommodate such protocols
as rtsp and a few more obscure ones. I might try to fix this without
having to pay live.com for the service, which seems to be what they
want. I haven't looked into it yet.

Mplayer works with a pretty wide range of codecs, but I have had a
little trouble with it using window$ media format, It's up to them to
fix that, not me.

I know that there is some kind of coded licencing or some other
problem with mplayer, but this serves as no more than one additional
reason for us to get rid of intellectual property rights. This kind
of thing is a hinderence to science itself and to innovation.

What is real time audio player and where can I find it. If it is as
good as mplayer, I see no reason why it should not be included,
however. How can I find this program.

Remember, in the realm of computing nothing is unrealistic. The
machine that sits on your desk, doing only what you tell it to do
today, can probably emulate the entire functionality of the human
brain tomorrow.

If you want me to look into this, I will.

Sincerely:
