The current test version, 0.7.5, is now available. The 0.7.5 can be downloaded by bittorrent at the moment. The tinyurl for the description web page is: http://tinyurl.com/m4pvg A few CDs can be sent by postal mail. The shipment is now stronger than before: bubble envelop and slim case. If you are interested in, just send a mail at contact at oralux.org . The main changes are: * Speakup 2.0 is available from the audio menu. The user selects his desktop which can be based on Emacspeak, Yasr or Speakup. If Speakup is selected the possible hardware and software synths are proposed. * Speakup and non ascii characters: Speakup is customized for the non English characters. As far as I tested them, French, German and Russian passed three basic tests: the typed character is said, the deleted character is said, a displayed line is said. The Portuguese and Spanish language are expected to work as well. If you try Speakup be aware please that the doc and messages are still in English. If you enter in a mode such as the Help mode, just press the space key to quit the Help and return to the normal mode. * Speech dispatcher 0.6 + Speechd-up 0.3 In 0.7.5, Speech dispatcher connects Speakup to Flite using Speechd-up. * Multispeech-up 0.2 Speakup can use the six software synth proposed by Multispeech using multispeech-up (which is based on Speechd-up). * Cicero TTS 0.7 The new Cicero TTS release is included. It is available under Emacspeak or Yasr in 0.7.5. * BRLTTY 3.7.2, BRLAPI 0.4.1-1 The audio menu is updated to take in account some new features (new tables and usb). Not yet tested though. Autant que j'ai pu les tester, le français, l'allemand et le russe passent trois tests basiques : réussir à prononcer le caractère tapé, le caractère effacé et la ligne affichée. Le portugais et l'espagnol doivent fonctionner aussi. Si vous essayer Speakup, attention svp: la doc et les messages sont toujours en anglais.
