You want knoppix installation. The first time I had the opportunity
to try out the knoppix-installer script, I did a debian install and
lost all speech capability. What happens there is that the system is
installed differently than it is for the knoppix install.
You need to do the knoppix install, because it will copy over all
customizations and whatever is done to make the speech setup work
right.
