I just sent a message suggesting that it is hardware.  You might want
to test this theory by attempting to boot on a different machine, at
school, at work, in a store where new machines are on display and are
powered up for people to look at them on the shelves.  Try 0.7 A on
any of them and see if it boots there.  If not, it's hardware.  If it
does not boot on those machines, especially the newer, faster ones
with more RAM, it is a problem with the cd.  Just re-burn if you have
a copy of the image still hanging around.
