Αν ρίξεις μία ματιά στο σημερινό αλλά και στο παλαιό αρχείο της
λίστας που παρατίθεται στο τέλος κάθε μηνύματος θα διαπιστώσεις ότι
εδώ και 4 χρόνια που ξεκίνησε η λίστα έχουν γίνει εκτεταμένες
αναφορές σε όλες αυτές τις εναλλακτικές λύσεις. έχουμε συζητήσει για
το vinux και το orca και επι τη ευκαιρία για όσους ενδιαφέρονται για

όπου όσοι ενδιαφέρονται μπορούν να κατεβάσουν το σχετικό λογισμικό.
Και φυσικά μας έχει και μας απασχολεί το nvda και κάθε άλλο
εναλλακτικό προϊόν που κάνει την ζωή μας πιο εύκολη και με μικρότερο
κόστος. Δυστυχώς οι φορείς του χώρου με εξαίρεση του Στατ ήταν και
είναι τραγικά απόντες από τα δρώμενα στις νέες τεχνολογίες.

Καλησπέρα κι απο εμένα σε όλη τη λίστα.
Δε θα ευχηθώ καλό χειμώνα, θα επαναλάβω όμως μιά ευχή (δε θυμάμαι
που την άκουσα), αλλά πιστεύω οτι ταιριάζει περισσότερο στις
καιρικές συνθήκες της εποχής... Καλό αποκαλόκαιρο να 'χουμε!
Παιδιά, για ποιό λόγο πρέπει να είμαστε καρφομένοι στο hal, ή στο
jaws, ή στο οποιοδήποτε άλλο πανάκριβο πρόγραμμα ανάγνωσης οθόνης;
Γιατί να μην ψάξουμε για άλλες free λύσεις και να τις υποστηρίξουμε
δείχνοντάς τις και σε άλλους χρήστες;
Αυτή τη στιγμή, υπάρχει ο αναγνώστης οθόνης nvda (που όπως όλοι
ξέρουμε ελληνοποιήθηκε απο το stat) kai μπράβο τους, υπάρχει το
thunder (έχει ξεκινήσει διαδικασία ελληνοποίησής του απο τον
οργανισμό e-isotis).
Γιατί λοιπόν να μην απαιτήσουμε απο τους φορείς να παρουσιάζουν στον
κόσμο τέτοιες προτοβουλίες; Γιατί να είμαστε αναγκασμένοι να
πληρώνουμε έναν κόσμο λεφτά, τη στιγμή που υπάρχουν και άλλες
λύσεις; Τι ρόλο παίζουν στην πράξη οι φορείς των Τυφλών σ' αυτή την
ιστορία; Στο εξωτερικό υπάρχουν τυφλοί που χρησιμοποιούν linux.

Υπάρχει screen reader που υποστηρίζει Ελληνικά στα linux και αν
θυμάμαι καλά, λέγεται ορκα. Η φωνή, είναι λίγο άθλια, αλλά μπορεί
κάποιος να δουλέψει σε εφαρμογές όπως το open office, (aντίστιχο του
microsoft office. Εδώ στην Ελλάδα τι κάνουμε;
