Thanks again for the response. The couple of places I found the
references for it are a little vague. Any chance of a scope-serializer
example?

The Scope serializer and the Scope generator are documented in the list of
changes in 2.5.4. But if you get an unstable build, the documentation has
been
moved to the serializers and generators doc.
