Stefano,

Not sure if this answer your question, but he embedded instance is accessible through the following URL (that you pass to the XML:DB processors):

  xmldb:exist:///

It is only accessible with the XML:DB processor though, or at any rate from code running within Presentation Server: in embedded mode, eXist does not expose an external URL.

But you can use it and create new collections in it. The data is stored under WEB-INF/exist-data.

We will have to look into your connection issue though. I know that somebody on the list was accessing an external eXist instance recently.

Still no luck with the unstable build too. Besides xmldb processors, how
may I access the exist instance embedded within orbeon? I'd like to create
other collections in the instance, but I don't know which uri I need to
specify to access it via exist client or via web dav. Do I need to set up
some properties? (exist.home)

Thnx

Ciao
Stefano
