Hi,
I'm
in the process of evaluating the Orbeon presentation server for use in our
project. I've read through some of the documentation, but due to time
constraints, I dont have the required time to generate a working prototype and
completely evaluate the product.
In
this regard, I need a couple of questions answered about the general use of the
product.
My
project comprises of a front-end GUI (ideally XSL T of an XML) which is
generated from the XML output provided by a set of web services. I know that
Orbeon can do this part for me. The part I'm not sure about
is..
1.
Can I achieve this without using any Bean Generator logic (Castor) and still use
the Struts 2X framework? (Since it is a user facing site, performance is
key)
2.
Can the same XML be configured to be displayed using 3 different XSLs depending
on some URL signature or hidden field or some other mechanism (Since I need to
serve 3 sites, all of which need the same data but require different
presentations)
3. Is
there some way in which Orbeon supports XSL compilation (translets) and applying
these to my XML output directly (for performance reasons)
Any
help on this will be appreciated as I'm on a very tight
deadline..
Thanks,
Ali
