Hi, I eventually got the Authentication
example working on Websphere 5.1 . I can’t figure out why it was not working
previously, but several reboots seemed to do the trick! However under both JBoss and Websphere the
Session Invalidator XPL processor does not work, ie after logoff the user is

work under Webshphere 5.1 - however the same Obeon WAR file works under JBOSS
3.2.6. I am using recent unstable build dated 11th Jan
2005. I have configured Websphere with Local OS User registries and mapped
users to the administrator role specified in the web.xml file. When I click on the authentication example link I am
correctly challenged with the logon form. However after entering the userid and
password I am directed to a HTTP Error 403 – Forbidden page. I have
tested the Websphere security configuration successfully with a noddy J2EE web
