Yes, that's something like that I am heading too.
Now, that could also be useful (in a second step) to have a higher level
processor based on that basic one that could encapsulate some of the OOo
specificities (such as synchronising the the manifest file with the
content of the archive, dealing with the duplication of information in
the different files and transparently supporting the new single rooted
format).

Well, most of the zip command line options would be candidates to go to
the config input, don't you think so?
