Hi Anindita,

The best way is to use a xhtml:id="my-id" in your view and then reference
the element with that id from JavaScript with
document.getElementById('my-id'). This way, you shield your code from
changes in the naming of HTML elements. You will find more information
about this in the "Hidden Field" section of the "XForms Reference", which
is the last section on:
