Hi all - A quick update on Orchard plans... we are targeting to deliver a V1.1 after a couple iterations of dev work, to address some key issues for 1.0 (from both an extensibility standpoint and usability standpoint). I'll share some additional details shortly. After 1.1, we will turn our attention planning for the next major release. We are considering some kind of community planning/SDR/feedback event for Orchard vNext that would ideally include as many of you that we can get to congregate together at one time. This would be a chance to collectively talk about the future direction of the project and what makes sense to focus on next. It's also a chance to meet face-to-face with other folks in the Orchard community, discuss our various module/theme/site projects, and generally have a good time. :) Our current thinking is to maybe do this at MIX'11 conference, if a number of you will already be there (we can do as a virtual conference through Lync or Live Meeting to allow for remote attendance as well). How many of you will be going to MIX'11 this year? Can I get a quick Yes or No from each of you? This will help me figure out if doing the event makes sense at MIX or if we should consider other alternatives. The other possibility is to do this on Microsoft's Redmond, WA campus sometime after MIX. How many of you would be willing to attend (either at MIX or Redmond)? Which is logistically better for you?
