Greetings Orchard enthusiasts! MIX11 is upon us, and there will be some fun
stuff for Orchard happening there. Sebastien and I are both in attendance, and
would love to connect with any of you that are here for the event. Here's a
breakdown of places and times where Orchard will be present. Feel free to
blog, tweet, and generally pass along...

Open Source Fest
Monday, April 11, 6:00pm - 9:00pm PDT, Mandalay Bay Ballroom D
Sebastien and I will be staffing an Orchard table here, along with more than 50
other OSS projects you can mingle with. This is open to all MIX11 attendees,
and those in attendance can vote on their favorite open source projects. The
winners will get a prize and some recognition at MIX11, but the key is the
chance to showcase the open source projects by the community, stir the
collective brainpower, and network. There will be food, drinks, a fun
atmosphere, and a chance to meet many of the MIX11 speakers and attendees.
Voting results will be announced at MIX11. More info at
http://live.visitmix.com/OpenSourceFest.

Scott Guthrie's Day 1 Keynote
Tuesday, April 12, 9:00am-11:00am PDT, Mandalay Bay Ballroom HF
You won't want to miss this - Orchard will be prominently featured in a really
compelling demo. It's streaming live on the web for everyone to see at
http://live.visitmix.com (an Orchard site, by the way :)), so it's open for all
to attend. More info at http://live.visitmix.com/Keynotes.

Orchard Breakout Session: "Deconstructing Orchard 1.1: Build, Customize,
Extend, Ship"
Tuesday, April 12, 11:30am - 12:30pm PDT, FRM06
I'll be showing off the latest amazing things we've done for the Orchard 1.1
release (we are counting the hours to launch, stay tuned...), building up a
nice-looking site along the way. You'll get the scoop on how all the new stuff
in 1.1 fits together, to provide great experiences and address the feedback
we've been hearing from you on 1.0. The talk demos new stuff, but also gives
good context to attendees that that haven't taken a look at Orchard before (MIX
has a very broad audience and Orchard is still somewhat unknown). If you're not
here at MIX, don't worry - you'll be able to catch the video online afterward
on Channel9: http://channel9.msdn.com/events/MIX/MIX11/FRM06.

Orchard Community Reception and Live Meeting
Tuesday, April 12, 12:30am - 2:00pm PDT, Palm E on Level 3
Get your questions answered and comments heard by the Orchard team at this
community reception and Live Meeting event immediately following my breakout
session. We'll have the whole Orchard team connected to a Roundtable Live
Meeting from Redmond, so we can take questions from MIX attendees and also over
chat window in Live Meeting. This is a pretty free-form event - no strict
agenda - but it's a chance for us to connect and collectively brainstorm about
the project. In addition answering your questions, we are eager hear what you
think of 1.1 and to get your thoughts on what we should be thinking about for
future milestones. Hope you can make it!
