It is metaweblog, but in any case, there is a manifest that exposes what is supported that those applications should in principle use. We have only really tested this feature with LiveWriter. If you want to make it work with your Android app, I suppose you'll need to monitor network traffic somehow and determine the exact errors that are happening. But as a very first step I would check that LiveWriter works on your site, as that would eliminate the most obvious configuration mistakes. ________________________________________ From: Mark Parker [godef...@gmail.com] Sent: Friday, November 04, 2011 10:31 AM To: orchard-discuss@lists.outercurve.org Subject: Remote blog post from Android
I would really like to do remote blog postings from my Phone, like I can using Windows Live Writer. I haven't, however, found an application that is capable of doing that. I have the necessary modules enabled, but it's not clear to me what "api" is being used. There is a discussion in the wiki XML-RPC page of various potentially supported APIs, but there doesn't seem to be a definite decision on what to support. If it is MetaWeblog, I am unable to locate an Android client that supports that API. I tried the official WordPress application, but that gave only 404 errors. Has anyone else had more success than I have?
