His passing away is a great loss to the orchid world in general and especially to the Malibu Orchid Society
which he served in several positions over many years.
John and his wife hosted me on several occasions and they really made me feel at home.
We had many long, interesting and fruitful discussions ,often sipping excellent Scotch. John will be missed.
