Hello OGDers : A species I bought many years ago, labeled Epidendrum porpax var. alba, is a most reluctant bloomer.
I have grown it in warm, intermediate and cool conditions without much success. I would like to find collection data for that species to figure out what are the natural conditions in situ. Any idea where I could find such info? Any reference indicating in which countries that species occurs ? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Viateur The Bakers have a culture sheet for Epi.porpax as Epidendrum peperomia Rchb. f. AKA: Neolehmannia porpax (Rchb. f.) They indicate habitat from Southern Mexico through Panama. I have a firly substantial plant but I've only had it for a couple of months so can't reall comment on proper care.
