I live in England, well the south of England, and have really developed a passion for our native orchids.
Have been to quite a few nature reserves where i have seen things like Dactylorhiza, ophrys Apifera, Ophrys Insectifera, the lady orchid have seen about 17 species, not bad going i guess for some who only really got interested in orchids last year.
the orchids that i am looking to see are the monkey orchid, the elusive lady slipper orchid.
Would anyone know where i might be able to see these orchids, My real ambition is to try and reintroduce some of are falling numbers of orchids back into the wild, have had some success in aseptically growing some of our native orchids from seed, but could also do with advice on the best way in which to to try and germinate orchids from seed, at the moment i am using a product by Sigma called phytamax with charcoal and banana, not sure really that is to strong a medium to use for germinating ophrys , and Dactylorhiza on so any advice would be much appreciated.
And if anyone is getting rid of an old laminar flow cabinet they know longer need.
Well i am looking for one.
