Hi All;
We knew 'Gorilla Hair' as Palco Wool a good many years ago. I did as
many did, that is put a big dressing of it on the top of pots of cattleyas.
And got bawled out for my error!
This redwood product is too acid for orchids and was told by an orchid
judge [no less] that you should only use 1/5 redwood with fir bark.

Really? Interesting. There are quite a few people using it 'undiluted' for Cymbidiums here in California. No ill effects as far as I've heard.
